Amateur License Required to Fly FPV

WALQRX350PROWIFI-2 The FCC requires an amateur license to operate FPV (First Person View) radio control models, boats, cars, trucks, planes and multirotor aircraft, with cameras operating in amateur radio bands like 5.8 gigahertz. The only exception is very low power camera transmitters that have been certified by the FCC and transmit less than 50 milliwatts radiated which is actually 25 milliwatts into a 2-3db gain antenna. Most FPV Camera transmitters run 200 to 300 milliwatts into 3-5db gain antenna like the one shown here.See Report below:
